This email is in response to our prior communication regarding Salisbury Beach State Reservation. Many of you had additional questions and they have been addressed below.
• Jetty construction will begin late April and take place Monday – Friday from 7AM to 5PM through November 2015. Construction will be a sea-based operation with a crane, barges and tugboats to repair and replace the jetty. There will be construction vehicles delivering and storing materials in a section of the jetty parking lot. You should expect the noise level to be similar to any construction site.
• The jetty will be closed and strictly of limits 24/7 until at least November 2015.
• There will be no fishing from the jetty, however fishing can take place all day along the river side, or at the beach from 5:00pm to 8:00am. For information about fishing licenses, please follow link: http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/dfg/dmf/recreational-fishing/recreation...
• Campers who enjoy accessing the beach via the jetty area will be rerouted to the jetty boardwalk.
• Small recreational or fishing boats will be able to access the Merrimac River out to the ocean. The contractor will probably be working in the channel at times, but their contract states they should not interfere with boat traffic.

Hello Salisbury Beach Camper,
Thank you for choosing to camp with us at beautiful Salisbury Beach State Reservation! We look forward to your visit and want to provide you with an update of projects and changes for the 2015 season.

• The Army Corps of Engineers will be repairing the north jetty beginning mid-April. The project will fill in massive gaps that have developed over time, creating safer access and providing erosion relief along Plum Island and Salisbury Beach. For your safety, use of the jetty will be strictly prohibited, restrictions to the jetty parking lot will be in place and beach access will be rerouted from the campground. We anticipate considerable noise during the day and apologize for any disruption you may experience.
• With the fee increase, we hope to bring you new improvements such as a new express lane to assist with traffic congestion, and plans are underway to refurbish the E and F Road bathhouse this fall with improvements to the showers and the addition of ADA showers and toilets.
• Staff have been busy making improvements around the park such as new picnic tables, two new group campsites and more.
• We are excited to announce that all inland and ocean beaches are now smoke-free zones. Smoking is allowed on paved areas and we appreciate disposal of smoking materials before entering the sand area.
• Pets are welcome while camping, however no more than 4 pets are allowed per campsite.
• To assist with campsite overcrowding and for safety reasons, no structures such as swimming or wading pools, trampolines, horseshoe pits, household furniture, unnecessary lighting or other objects that may create a safety hazard are permitted on campsites.

Wir waren im August für eine Nacht dort um festzustellen, dass diese Form von Massencamping so gar nicht unsere Welt ist.
Der Strand/das Meer ist wirklich schön, aber das reißt das "Legebatterie"-Gefühl für uns nicht heraus.

Der Platz war komplett ausgebucht, wir haben angeblich die letzte Site bekommen. Unsere (vielen) Nachbarn hatten sich offensichtlich für einen längeren Zeitraum dort häuslich eingerichtet. Wir waren froh, den Platz wieder nach einer Nacht verlassen zu dürfen.

Die Waschhäuser waren dem Ansturm nicht so recht gewachsen, am Abend war es dort mächtig dreckig. Den oben erwähnten Baulärm haben wir beim Frühstück mitbekommen, wobei das allein für uns kein schlimmer Mangel gewesen wäre.
